UK Running Events is expanding and we have fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced, motivated and hard-working individual to join the Team. At UK Running Events we strive to deliver faultless events whilst having fun doing so.
We are looking for a candidate to manage the planning and delivery of our mass-participation trail running events. You will be responsible for the daily tasks of event management including, but not restricted to, route planning, managing staff, managing relationships with our vendors, creating risk assessments and planning documentation, and ensuring high-standards are maintained in relation to preparation and delivery of events.
- Responsibilities

- Event Planning: responsible for planning all aspects of the event, including selecting the venue, coordinating vendors, securing permits and licenses, creating a budget, and developing a timeline.
- Event Coordination: responsible for coordinating and overseeing all aspects of the event on the day of the event, ensuring everything runs smoothly and on time. This may involve overseeing event staff, coordinating with vendors, handling any last-minute issues, and ensuring that all safety regulations are being followed.
- Marketing and Promotion - responsible for promoting the event, developing marketing and advertising campaigns, and coordinating with sponsors and media outlets to ensure maximum exposure for the event.
- Budget Management - responsible for managing the event budget, including negotiating vendor contracts, managing expenses, and ensuring that the event stays within budget.
- Safety and Security - responsible for ensuring the safety and security of all attendees and staff at the event. This may involve coordinating with security teams and emergency responders, creating emergency response plans, and ensuring that all safety regulations are being followed.
- Post-Event Evaluation - responsible for conducting post-event evaluations to assess the success of the event, identify areas for improvement, and make recommendations and improvements for future events.
- Essential Skills and Requirements

- Passionate about physical activity including running.
- Excellent time management, organisation and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills and a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work independently and remotely during the week.
- Willing to work regular weekends.
- Strong IT skills.
- Knowledge of the UK running industry.
- Full driving licence and comfortable driving a van.

- Previous experience managing staff.
- Previous experience creating detailed planning documentation.
