Peterborough Inflatable 5k

Dear Participant,

As you are aware the world is in an unprecedented situation grappling with a global pandemic of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) and public health is everyone’s priority. With this in mind and after very hard and careful consideration, we are very sad to have to inform you, of our decision to postpone the Inflatable 5k Peterborough due to concerns over public safety and the spread of the COVID-19.

UK Running Events is committed to ensuring that the Safety, Health and Well-being of our Runners, Spectators, Marshalls and Staff is always our primary concern. Following consultation with our medical team, advice from The World Health Organisation and Public Health England along with our own detailed risk assessment, we’ve taken the difficult decision to postpone the Peterborough Inflatable 5k.

With over 3000 runners and 2000 spectators expected, and the unique nature of the Inflatable 5K and its Obstacles would mean thousands of people in close proximity tackling the same obstacles. As touch is one of the main forms of transmission and participants are likely to be touching the same areas i.e the rope swing; we are unable to fully mitigate against the risk of transmission.

We do not believe it would be the right or responsible response for us to proceed with holding our event, which could put additional strain on our NHS when it is preventable. Equally, we are mindful of our responsibility to support efforts to delay the spread of COVID19 across the UK.

We ask for your understanding for the inconvenience caused and we look forward to your continued support and participation. We have been working hard behind the scenes and can confirm we have been able to secure the 31st of October 2020 for the rescheduled Peterborough Inflatable 5k. Your entry will be automatically transferred over to the rescheduled event and your start time will remain the same. Please keep your Bib numbers safe, as these will be needed for the event.

Other options available:

• Transfer to any another event in the 2020 season, free of charge.
• Transfer your ticket to another person. Our standard transfer fee will be waived.
• Credit for the amount paid will be placed on your Account for use in 2021.

In these unprecedented times, we would like to give you every available option we have to ensure we find a solution that is suitable for you. As per our Terms and Conditions and to ensure we as a company survive this global crisis a refund is not one of these. We politely ask you do not ask for one, as we will be unable to accommodate this request. We hope you understand we have to ensure the Inflatable 5k Series overcomes this Pandemic so that we can fulfil the rescheduled events for the majority of people. Unfortunately due to our large national event series, Peterborough Inflatable 5k is not the only event we have to reschedule.

I can make the new date - You need to do nothing, we will do everything for you automatically. We will be in touch near the time.
