As the UK enters it second National Lockdown and winter is starting to set in, it is hard to stay motivated in these times of social distancing and self isolation. We are here to help! The mental and health benefits of running are well-documented. A run is an ideal way to ensure social distancing, whilst taking in some fresh air, enjoying an awesome workout and earning a big shiny medal!
Choose from 5k, 10k, 15k, or ½ Marathon to tackle. Complete your chosen distance in a single day and then submit your evidence to us – data from your smart watch / tracker or an app you use to track your running. A simple screen shot or picture is just fine
Then the huge 100mm shiny medal, pair of running socks and awesome certificate is yours.
Medals will be posted out on completion of your challenge.
Keep motivated and set yourself ‘The Great British Run’ challenge now and achieve something amazing during the Lockdown.
We are very pleased to have St. Wilfrid's Hospice as our charity partner for this virtual challenge, if you would like to help raise money for this great charity then please follow the link below and get your fundraising set-up:
St Wilfrid’s Hospice is much more than a building. We provide tailored end of life care both in the community and at our Hospice, supporting our patients living with a terminal illness, and their family and friends.
All our vital services are provided free of charge, thanks to the generous support of fundraisers and donors. Only 16% of our running costs are currently met by the NHS and we rely on our community to fund the remainder, which equates to just over £7.7 million each year.
