Chichester Harbour Hiking Trail

The Chidham Peninsula Hiking Event takes you on an amazing journey around the Chidham Peninsula and the surrounding harbour-side paths, offering spectacular views of Chichester Harbour (an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty). You'll enjoy long-reaching vistas over Bosham Hoe, Itchenor, East Head, and the surrounding South Downs.

The quiet, scenic routes will overload your senses with constant coastal vistas and wildlife, making this one of the South's best-kept secret hiking routes. This well-crafted off-road path will guide you around the perimeter of the Chidham Peninsula, with an additional loop around the top of the harbour.

The route is timed to coincide with low tide, as it includes a small section of the foreshore, providing a unique hiking experience. The flat nature of the course makes it perfect for an early-season hike.

Regardless of experience or ability, we actively encourage new participants to our events, and there are two route distances to choose from.
