Back by popular demand, the Chichester Harbour Trail event is one of our most-loved events for walkers, hikers, and outdoor enthusiasts. This stunning Chichester walking event takes you around the beautiful Chidham Peninsula and along peaceful harbour-side paths, showcasing some of the most spectacular coastal views in the South.

As you explore the route, you'll enjoy sweeping panoramas across Chichester Harbour, a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, with long-reaching vistas towards Bosham Hoe, Itchenor, East Head, and the rolling South Downs.

The Half Marathon (21k) and 16k course is designed to immerse you fully in the landscape, with quiet trails, coastal paths, and wildlife-rich scenery that make this hiking challenge truly unforgettable. Getting to the Chichester Harbour Hiking Trail

Important Parking Information - Please Read

Please allow enough time to park and make your way to the start line, especially if you are parking off-site.

All start times will begin promptly, so be sure to arrive early to avoid missing your start.

Important Information for Participants

  • You will collect your hiking bib number on arrival at the event. Please bring your QR code with you on the day and head to 'Registration' for collection.
  • Save The Event Phone Number: 02033 717 156.
  • Bib numbers should be displayed clearly on the front of you.
  • We are plastic free, please bring a reusable cup / bottle for use at the water stations.
  • There will be First Aid support located at the on-course aid stations and event centre.
  • One dog, per one runner.

Spectators

Spectators are always welcome at the Chichester Harbour Hiking Trail. We love that spectators further add to the fantastic atmosphere at the event.

Dog Guidelines for Canicross Participants

Please ensure you bring the following items for your dog:

Poo bags
Water
Treats
An appropriate dog lead

These items will help ensure a comfortable and enjoyable experience for both you and your dog. Thank you!

Finding Your Way on the Course - Signage

The hike will be clearly signed using PINK arrows and PINK tape.

We will also mark hazards and road junctions with 'Caution' signs. Please take care at these points.

Event Day Timings for the Chichester Harbour Hiking Trail

7:15 am* - Venue Opens

The car park opens to allow hikers to prepare themselves for the hike and grab a coffee.

8:30 AM* - All Hiking Distances Start!

The hike kicks off as the walkers cross the start line.

2:00 pm* - The Hike Finishes / Cut-off Time

Your adventure finishes, you will cross the finish line and collect your bag full of goodies.

2:30 pm* - The Event Centre Closes

The venue closes.
