Winchester Trail Run (Hampshire) - Sunday, 11th January 2026
The Winchester Off-Road Run returns for its fifth year, and with over 1,000 participants taking on the run last year, it's one not to miss! This popular Hampshire trail running event continues to grow, offering an unforgettable experience for runners seeking scenic routes, off-road adventure, and a motivating start to their New Year.
Kick-start your 2026 running season and stay true to those New Year's resolutions on a route that perfectly balances challenge with enjoyment. Ideal for both new and experienced trail runners, this well-loved event highlights some of the best off-road running trails near Winchester.
Set in the beautiful Hampshire countryside just outside Winchester, the route follows stunning tracks, bridleways, and footpaths that surround the famous Farley Mount. This local landmark is the jewel in the crown of this rewarding Half Marathon Trail Run.
The course is rolling rather than hilly, making it a perfect early-season race that will ease you into your new year of running while still delivering a satisfying challenge. The route features visually rewarding tree-lined sections and spectacular vistas over the Hampshire countryside, with a small but memorable climb up to Farley Mount on the Half Marathon route. Its blend of terrain makes this one of the most scenic and enjoyable Winchester trail runs of the year.
Regardless of experience or ability, we actively encourage new runners to our events and offer two route lengths to choose from, Half Marathon (21k) or 12k. As soon as you complete your race, you'll be greeted with a high-quality medal, a refreshing cool drink, and a selection of finisher goodies, making this a truly rewarding way to begin your year.
You'll also enjoy the full race-day experience, including:
- Chip Timed Event
- High-quality Metal Medal
- Finisher's Goodie and Refreshing Drink
- Personalised Certificate
- First Aid Cover
- On-course Refreshments
- Friendly Marshals
This well-organised trail run combines stunning scenery, supportive marshals, and professional timing, making it the perfect start to your running season.
