Your Guide to the Inflatable 5k: Frequently Asked Questions

Thinking about signing up for the UK’s biggest inflatable 5K obstacle course? We’ve answered some of the most common questions to help you feel confident before booking your place.

Who can take part?

Everyone is welcome! However, participants aged 5-15 years old must be accompanied by a paying, participating adult, with a 3:1 child-to-adult ratio in place to ensure safety.

If your child is just a few weeks shy of turning 5, unfortunately they will still be unable to take part. This is due to insurance and safety regulations, which we must strictly follow.

How does the course work?

The course is designed to be fun, flexible, and achievable for all fitness levels. You can choose from one of four distances:
  • 2.5k - 1 lap
  • 5k - 2 laps
  • 10k - 4 laps
  • 15k - 6 laps

Each distance is based on the number of laps you complete, so you’re in full control of how far you go on the day.

How do I choose my start time?

When booking your tickets, you’ll be able to select a wave slot that suits you. If you’re attending as a group, you can absolutely start together.

Even if some of your group are doing different distances, you can still begin at the same time. Those completing longer distances can continue on, while others head off to enjoy their medal and finisher goodies.

Can I bring my dog?

As much as we love furry friends, dogs are not permitted on the course or within the event village. For the safety and comfort of all participants, please leave your four-legged companions at home, anyone bringing a dog may be asked to leave the event area.

Do I have to run?

Not at all! This is a fun run, so there’s no pressure to run if you don’t want to. You can jog, walk, or even dance your way around the course, it’s all about enjoying the experience.

What if I’m not confident with the obstacles?

That’s completely fine! While we encourage you to give the obstacles a go, you are welcome to bypass any that you don’t feel comfortable with. Friendly marshals will be stationed throughout the course to guide you safely and show you alternative routes if needed.

Is there a bag drop?

Yes, we operate a bag drop service for £3 per bag. This is clearly outlined on the website and in your pre-event communications. Your belongings will be safely looked after by a member of our team.

Please bring exact cash or have your card payment ready.

If you’re travelling light or don’t have a bag, we also offer a free bag drop with a tote bag for £5, which you can take home as a fun keepsake and a bit of memorabilia from the day.

Is there water available?

There is no water provided at the start, so please ensure you arrive well-hydrated, especially on warmer days.

You’ll receive water halfway through the course, as well as a drink at the finish line. There will also be food vendors on site if you’d like to grab something before or after your run.

I’m bringing spectators - will there be anything for children to do?

This can depend on the specific event location, but spectators are always welcome. To help keep little ones entertained, you’re welcome to bring items such as a football, games, colouring books, or even a picnic, as long as it’s enjoyed within the event village.

Please note that spectators are only permitted within designated spectator viewing areas for safety reasons.

The Inflatable 5K is all about fun, flexibility, and creating an unforgettable experience - no matter your fitness level. So gather your friends, pick your distance, and get ready to bounce your way to the finish line!
