Helping children and young people recover from trauma and build resilience
The Miracle Foundation SCIO provides trauma-informed counselling and creative therapies for children and young people aged 4–19 who are struggling with the impact of trauma, loss, anxiety and adversity.
Many of the children we support have experienced things no child should face alone such as bereavement, domestic abuse, bullying, family breakdown, care experience or serious mental health challenges.
We provide free specialist therapy so that children and young people can process what has happened to them, rebuild their confidence and develop the emotional tools they need to thrive at home, in school and in life.
Our work is grounded in compassion, safety and relationship. Healing happens when children feel seen, heard and supported by someone who understands trauma.

The Work We Do
We deliver early intervention therapeutic support through:
- One-to-one counselling
- Art and play therapy
- Parent–child dyadic therapy to strengthen relationships
- Group programmes that build confidence and emotional resilience
Our therapists work closely with families, schools and support services so children receive the right help at the right time.
Last year alone, we supported hundreds of children and young people across Lanarkshire to improve their emotional wellbeing, reconnect with education and feel hopeful about their future.
But demand is growing and many children are still waiting for support.
Events like this help us change that.
How your support could help us:
Where Your Money Goes
Every pound raised helps us provide life-changing therapy for children who would otherwise go without support.
Examples of how donations help:
£50 - Provides creative therapy materials for art and play therapy sessions
£100 - Supports a child with specialist trauma therapy
£250 - Helps fund therapeutic group programmes that build confidence and resilience
£550 - Funds a full block of trauma-informed counselling for a child
On average, £500 provides a full 10-week block of therapy for one child.
Because children cannot heal on a waiting list.
If you choose to support us, you will receive:

- > The chance to take on a fun challenge with friends, family or colleagues
