CARE THAT MOVES AT THE PACE OF TRUST! HealthBus is an award-winning charity that brings healthcare directly to people experiencing homelessness in Bournemouth and nearby areas. We run a mobile nurse-led specialist healthcare service designed specifically for those without a permanent home, working closely with other local homeless organisations. Our goal is to deliver safe, high-quality healthcare that is easy to access, focused on the needs of each person, and provided in a safe and non-judgemental environment.

We run a mobile nurse-led specialist healthcare service designed specifically for those without a permanent home, working closely with other local homeless organisations. Our goal is to deliver safe, high-quality healthcare that is easy to access, focused on the needs of each person, and provided in a safe and non-judgemental environment.
WHAT WE DOSPECIALIST CARE AND MORE. At HealthBus, we deliver nursing care, health checks, wound care, blood tests (Hep C/B, HIV, Syphilis), appointment support, medication assistance, mental health sessions, sexual health support, and community integration. We are committed to reducing health inequalities by providing accessible and relational specialist healthcare for people experiencing homelessness. We are proactive in supporting individuals in their recovery away from homelessness to purposeful, healthy living by fostering strong partnerships with other essential services that cater for wider holistic needs. We are driven to understand and raise awareness of homelessness issues and promote best practice by ensuring those with lived experience of homelessness are heard by healthcare providers and decision-makers. COME AND JOIN IN. Funds raised through the Bournemouth Coastal Ten will support HealthBus’sTeam43 Campaign, highlighting that the average life expectancy for women experiencing homelessness and living on the streets is just 43. Every donation helps us provide safe, non-judgmental, patient-centred healthcare to women facing homelessness.
£200 - supports a week of medical outreach.
£50 - keeps the HealthBus on the road for one session.
£30 - funds a face-to-face clinical appointment.
£5 - provides tea, coffee and biscuits for 10 rough sleepers at our drop-in.
