Your adventure begins at Hengistbury Head, a beautiful nature reserve with excellent facilities and ample hard-standing parking, ensuring a smooth and stress-free start to your race day.
Both courses follow Bournemouth's spectacular seafront paths, including a run along the iconic Boscombe Pier with uninterrupted sea views. On a clear day, enjoy dramatic sights of the Isle of Wight, The Needles, and Old Harry Rocks on the Jurassic Coast.
The largely flat, traffic-free route is perfect for chasing a personal best or simply enjoying the fresh sea air and coastal scenery.

Things to note
- You will collect your running bib number on arrival at the event. Please bring your QR code with you on the day and head to 'Registration' for collection.
- Save The Event Phone Number: 02033 717 156.
- Bib numbers should be displayed clearly on the front of you.
- We are plastic free, please bring a reusable cup / bottle for use at the water stations.
- There will be First Aid support located at the on-course aid stations and event centre.
Spectators
Spectators are always welcome at the Bournemouth Coastal TEN. We love that spectators further add to the fantastic atmosphere at the event.
Course Signage
The race will be clearly signed using PINK arrows and PINK tape.
We will also mark hazards and road junctions with 'Caution' signs. Please take care at these points.
Event Day Timings
7:30 am* - Venue Opens
The car park opens to allow runners to prepare themselves for the race and grab a coffee.
8:30 AM* - 10mi Distance Race Start!
The race kicks off as the Medium distance runners cross the start line.
9:00 AM* - 10km Distance Race Start!
The race kicks off as the Short distance runners cross the start line.
1:30 pm* - The Race Finishes / Cut-off Time
Your adventure finishes, you will cross the finish line and collect your bag full of goodies.
2:00 pm* - The Event Centre Closes
The venue closes.
