St Elizabeth Hospice
St Elizabeth Hospice is an independent charity and hospice, which improves life for people in East, Mid-Suffolk, Great Yarmouth and Waveney areas living with a progressive or life-limiting illness. St Elizabeth Hospice also supports young adults aged 14 and above with incurable illnesses with their Zest service. Established in 1989, the hospice has built a reputation for delivering high-level care to patients and the community it serves. Through medicine and therapy, they ease pain; give life purpose and make life liveable. Last year, the charity supported over 4,000 patients and their families.

The hospice’s work is centred on the individual's needs and they provide specialist support wherever
it is needed; whether that is in the home, another setting in the community, in hospital or in the
hospice itself. Support is provided to patients and their families via the Inpatient Unit, the
Community Care Unit including outpatient’s clinics, home visits from the community nursing,
medical or therapy team, the OneCall 24/7 telephone helpline and bereavement support.
Fundraising is key to making hospice services free for all. Only 30% of St Elizabeth Hospice’s income
is funded from statutory sources. The charity relies on community fundraising – from the hospice’s
charity shops and fundraising events to gifts in Wills and donations - to support the 70% needed to
fund hospice services.
By taking part in the Inflatable Challenge, you will be helping to support outstanding hospice care in
the local community for today, tomorrow and into the future for patients and families.

£25 covers the cost to buy one blood pressure monitor.
£55 covers the cost for a one hour clinical assessment.
£74 covers the cost for a one hour Clinical Nurse Specialist home visit.
£110 covers the cost for a Health Care Assistant for a day.
£664 covers the cost for one patient to stay in the inpatient unit for 24 hours.
