Back by popular demand, the Chichester Harbour Trail Run is one of our most-loved events and for good reason. This stunning Chichester running event takes you around the beautiful Chidham Peninsula and along peaceful harbour-side paths, showcasing some of the most spectacular coastal views in the South.
As you run, you'll enjoy sweeping panoramas across Chichester Harbour, a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, with long-reaching vistas towards Bosham Hoe, Itchenor, East Head, and the rolling South Downs.
...The Half Marathon and 16k course is designed to immerse you fully in the landscape, with quiet trails, coastal paths, and wildlife-rich scenery that make this route truly unforgettable. At low tide, runners also experience a unique stretch across the foreshore, a highlight that sets this South Coast trail run apart from anything else.
Flat, friendly, and perfect for an early-season challenge, this event suits all abilities. Important Information for Participants
- You will collect your running bib number on arrival at the event. Please bring your QR code with you on the day and head to 'Registration' for collection.
- Save The Event Phone Number: 02033 717 156.
- Bib numbers should be displayed clearly on the front of you.
- We are plastic free, please bring a reusable cup / bottle for use at the water stations.
- There will be First Aid support located at the on-course aid stations and event centre.
- One dog, per one runner.
Spectators
Spectators are always welcome at the Chichester Harbour Trail Run. We love that spectators further add to the fantastic atmosphere at the event.

Finding Your Way on the Course - Signage
The race will be clearly signed using PINK arrows and PINK tape.
We will also mark hazards and road junctions with 'Caution' signs. Please take care at these points.

7:30 am* - Venue Opens
The car park opens to allow runners to prepare themselves for the race and grab a coffee.
9:00 AM* - 21.3k Canicross Distance Race Start!
The race kicks off as the Half Marathon distance canicross runners cross the start line.
9:15 AM* - 21.3k Distance Race Start!
The race kicks off as the Half Marathon distance runners cross the start line.
9:00 AM* - 16.1k Canicross Distance Race Start!
The race kicks off as the Medium distance canicross runners cross the start line.
9:30 AM* - 16.1k Distance Race Start!
The race kicks off as the Medium distance runners cross the start line.
1:30 pm* - The Race Finishes / Cut-off Time
Your adventure finishes, you will cross the finish line and collect your bag full of goodies.
2:00 pm* - The Event Centre Closes
