Wittering Beach Run
Dear Participant(s),
We're really sorry to say that our Wittering's Beach Run, scheduled to take place on Saturday 23rd November 2024, is postponed due to the extreme weather that Storm Bert is expected to bring this weekend.
We have been closely monitoring the weather conditions and unfortunately they haven't improved to a point where we can safely stage the event. The forecasted 50mph winds combined with heavy rain compromises your safety as well as reducing the enjoyment of the run as a whole. The exposed nature of this beach run make these conditions of greater concern.
Ultimately, the safety and enjoyment of our participants, volunteers and staff is our number one priority. We'd like to apologise once again for any inconvenience caused and are truly gutted that the event isn't going ahead as scheduled, but we look forward to seeing you at the start line of another one of our events in the future.

This route offers stunning long-reaching views Selsey Bill and Isle of Wight, as well as Chichester Harbour, the Solent, and the South Downs, giving runners picturesque views the whole way.
Lace up your running shoes and join us on this exhilarating beach run along the beautiful coast. The views are simply incredible!
There will be water stations along route to keep you hydrated. This is also a canicross friendly run, x1 dog, per x1 runner and will include water bowls for our furry friends too!
As you cross the finish line, you will recieve a high-quality finishers medal along with a finishers gift.

Spectators are always welcome at the Wittering Beach Run. We love that spectators further add to the fantastic atmosphere at the event.

Course Signage
The race will be clearly signed using PINK arrows and PINK tape.
We will also mark hazards and road junctions with 'Caution' signs. Please take care at these points.
Event Day Timings
7:30am - Venue Opens
The car park opens to allow runners to prepare themselves for the race and grab a coffee.
8:45AM - 15km Distance Race Start!
The race kicks off as the Long distance runners cross the start line.
8:50AM - 15km Canicross Distance Race Start!
The race kicks off as the Long distance canicross runners cross the start line.
9:00AM - 10km Distance Race Start!
The race kicks off as the Medium distance runners cross the start line.
9:05AM - 10km Canicross Distance Race Start!
The race kicks off as the Medium distance canicross runners cross the start line.
9:15AM - 5km Distance Race Start!
The race kicks off as the Short distance runners cross the start line.

1:30pm - The Race Finishes / Cut-off Time
