Introducing the New Forest Trail Run, starting near Brockenhurst and set in the heart of the New Forest National Park, a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. This trail running event offers an unforgettable late-season running experience for all abilities.
The route follows wide, hard-packed gravel paths, winding through magnificent forests where you may encounter native New Forest ponies, horses, donkeys, and deer grazing freely along the trails. Recognized as the best National Park in Europe and 10th in the world, ranking higher than the Grand Canyon, the New Forest provides a stunning backdrop for a memorable trail run.
...The course is slightly undulating with a total elevation gain of only 183m over the Half Marathon route. Well-maintained and solid underfoot, the trails are suitable for all weather conditions, making it an ideal choice for runners seeking smooth, flowing woodland and heathland trails.
With three route distances to choose from, 21k (Half Marathon), 17k or 10k the event welcomes runners of all experience levels, from beginners to seasoned trail enthusiasts. At the finish line, you'll be rewarded with a high-quality metal medal, a refreshing drink, and a selection of finisher goodies.

Important Information
- You will collect your running bib number on arrival at the event. Please bring your QR code with you on the day and head to 'Registration' for collection.
- Save The Event Phone Number: 02033 717 156.
- Bib numbers should be displayed clearly on the front of you.
- We are plastic free, please bring a reusable cup / bottle for use at the water stations.
- There will be First Aid support located at the on-course aid stations and event centre.
Spectators
Spectators are always welcome at the New Forest Trail Run (Sat). We love that spectators further add to the fantastic atmosphere at the event.
On Course
The race will be clearly signed using PINK arrows and PINK tape.
We will also mark hazards and road junctions with 'Caution' signs. Please take care at these points.
