Faq - Chichester Half Marathon
Now in its 9th year, the Chichester Half Marathon returns in partnership with More Leisure, bringing together an unforgettable mix of historic streets, rolling countryside and breathtaking views.
Starting in the heart of Chichester, this part closed road route weaves past some of the city's most iconic landmarks, including the Cathedral, The Cross and the ancient Roman Walls. The atmosphere builds as runners leave the city behind and head out onto the open trails of the South Downs.
...The climb to The Trundle is where the magic really happens. This jewel of the South Downs rewards every step with sweeping, panoramic views across Chichester, Goodwood and the sparkling south coast. It is a moment to take in, to push on, and to feel part of something special.
From here, the course turns in your favour. The second half flows downhill along the iconic Centurion Way, a fast and scenic return that carries you all the way back into the city with a real sense of momentum.
Whether you are chasing a time or soaking up the experience, this is a course that delivers from start to finish.
Alongside the Half Marathon, there is also a 7 mile route option and an Inclusive Mile, making the event accessible and welcoming for all abilities and ambitions.
And when you cross that finish line, a stunning, weighty metal medal will be waiting to crown your achievement

Rolling hills and varied off-road terrain. You'll enjoy a mix of woodland paths, open trails, and gentle climbs. A satisfying challenge that feels rewarding rather than tough.
Gently rolling trails with small ups and downs. Mostly wide, runnable paths with good footing throughout. A great introduction to trail running while still feeling comfortable and fun.
